Support for the Peninsula Arts Center Stays in the Community…

The Long Beach Peninsula Acoustic Music Foundation was formed to provide opportunities for Peninsula residents to improve and expand their skills in music, drama, poetry and prose, spoken word, and other aspects of the performing arts.

Our programs include:

  • An Artists-in-Residence program to provide artists with all-expenses-paid 10-day residencies in January, offered in conjunction with the Willapa Bay AiR.
  • Plans to bring Portland’s popular Bonnie Raitt Tribute show to the Peninsula in the Spring.
  • Scholarships for local artists to regional workshops and retreats.
  • local artists concert series to highlight the talent here on the Peninsula.

Board President Sue Svendsen has extensive experience in bringing the arts to communities – in addition to having been a leader of the Arts Council of Clark County and a founder of the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, she has been an adviser to many in the art community.
